- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information (section 15).
3. Information you give us
Providing information is voluntary. If you leave out a required field, we cannot handle that request. For example, we cannot reply to you without an e-mail address.

4. Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our web host records standard information about each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, and browser and device type. We use it to run and protect the Website.
- Analytics (section 5) records how the Website is used.
- Security tools (section 7) analyse browser and interaction signals to tell people from automated abuse.
- Content providers. When your browser loads parts of our pages from other services, those services receive your IP address and browser information:
- Google Fonts (typefaces);
- the cdnjs and jQuery content networks (website code);
- Google reCAPTCHA (section 7);
- YouTube (section 6).
5. Analytics
We use analytics to see which pages and products interest visitors, so that we can improve the Website and our product information.
- Plausible Analytics (provided by a company based in Estonia; data stored in the European Union). Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not create a persistent identifier for you. It counts visits and page views using a code that changes every day and cannot recognise you on another day or on another website. It records the page you visit, how you reached the Website (referring site), your approximate location (country, region and city, derived from your IP address, which is then discarded), your device, browser and operating-system type, and general engagement such as time on page and how far a page is scrolled.
- Actions we measure, in aggregate:
- use of Find Your Loader and “Can’t Find Your Fit” (the caliber, manufacturer and model chosen from our lists; anything you type yourself is recorded only as “other”), and whether a matching product was found;
- clicks from product pages and Find Your Loader results to products, dealers and retailers;
- Where To Buy searches (US state or country only, never your ZIP code), their results, and clicks on dealer or distributor links in the results;
- successful submissions of our Contact, For Dealers and “Squeal on Your Dealer” forms (only that a form was sent, never its contents).
- We never send your name, e-mail address, phone number, ZIP code, messages or other text you type to Plausible.
- More information: https://plausible.io/data-policy.
- Actions we measure, in aggregate:
- Jetpack Stats (Automattic). It counts visits and page views without using cookies on the Website. Automattic processes your IP address, browser information, the page you visit and the referring page, and states that it keeps its raw logs for 28 days.
We may change analytics providers. Before we start using a new provider, we will update this policy.
6. Cookies, videos and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage and “service workers”, which help a website load faster and work offline.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
viewed_product |
maglula | remember products you recently viewed | 30 days | Functional |
comment_author_… (3 cookies) |
WordPress | remember your name and e-mail for your next review, only if you tick the box | about 1 year | Functional |
_grecaptcha (browser storage) and Google’s own cookies |
Google reCAPTCHA | detect spam and abuse | persistent / set by Google | Security |
| YouTube cookies and similar technologies | YouTube (Google) | play embedded videos | set by YouTube | Third-party content |
| Service worker and offline caches | maglula | load the Website faster and show pages offline | until cleared | Functional |
| Log-in cookies | WordPress | staff log-in only | session to 14 days | Essential |
Videos. Some product pages include videos from YouTube. When the YouTube player loads, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and browser information and may set cookies or similar technologies. YouTube may also use this information for its own purposes, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. The Website still works if you block YouTube cookies, although videos may not play.
Browser signals. The Website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signals.
7. Security and anti-spam
- We use Google reCAPTCHA to help protect our contact form from spam and automated abuse.
- Because the contact form appears at the bottom of every page, reCAPTCHA loads on every page.
- It analyses information about your device and how you interact with the page.
- This site is protected by reCAPTCHA.
- Our other forms use our own spam checks. The product-review form also uses a picture code (CAPTCHA) hosted on our own server.
- To limit abuse, some of our forms keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to 24 hours.
8. How we use information and our legal grounds
We use personal information to:
- answer questions and requests;
- review dealer requests and manage our dealer and distributor relationships;
- contact stores that are suggested to us;
- publish approved reviews and testimonials;
- understand product demand (Find Your Loader and “Can’t Find Your Fit”);
- show nearby dealers and distributors;
- run, secure and improve the Website;
- prevent spam and abuse;
- keep business records;
- comply with the law and protect our rights.
Where a law such as the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation requires a legal ground, we rely on:
- your request, to answer you or handle your dealer request;
- your consent, to publish a photo you send with a testimonial. You can withdraw it at any time (section 15);
- our legitimate interests, to run and secure the Website, understand product demand, publish reviews we have checked and develop our dealer network, balanced against your rights;
- legal obligations, where we must keep or disclose information.
We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing. Our spam filters may automatically block a submission that looks like spam. If you think this happened to you, please e-mail us.
9. Information that becomes public
- Reviews and testimonials. We check every review and testimonial before we publish it.
- Product reviews: if we publish your review, we show the name you entered, your star rating, your review and the date.
- Testimonials: if we publish your testimonial, we show the name you entered, your star rating, the product, your testimonial and the date. We also show any photo you gave us permission to publish, together with the reviews on that product’s page. We may also feature a published testimonial or photo on our Testimonials page. Photos are never public before we approve the testimonial.
- We never publish your e-mail address.
- You can ask us to remove your review, testimonial or photo by writing to website@maglula.com. Copies may remain for a while in search-engine caches or archives that we do not control.
- Dealer and distributor listings. We publish business information about stores that sell maglula products: business name, address, phone number and website. If you run a store as an individual and want your listing corrected or removed, please contact us.

We share personal information only as needed with the following.

- We do not currently use personal information collected through the Website for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Until 9 October 2026, the Website used Meta Platforms’ advertising tools (the Meta Pixel and Conversions API), which sent information about page and product views, with a browser identifier, to Meta. We have removed them.
- If our practices change, we will update this policy first. We will honour any additional rights that applicable law gives you.
11. Links to dealers, retailers and other websites
Product and Where To Buy pages link to independent dealers, distributors and retailers. When you follow such a link you leave our Website, and the other website’s own privacy policy and terms apply to anything you do there, including purchases. We do not receive information about your purchases.

13. How long we keep information
Our retention policy is:
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Contact, For Dealers and “Squeal on Your Dealer” e-mails | 24 months after our last exchange, unless an active business relationship requires longer |
| Find Your Loader / “Can’t Find Your Fit” demand records (caliber, manufacturer, model, date; no IP address) | 36 months |
| Published reviews, testimonials and photos | while published, or until you ask us to remove them, unless we need to keep them for legitimate business or legal reasons |

We may delete information sooner. We may keep it longer where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam protection and limited staff access. No website or e-mail system is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information through the Website.

To make a request:
- E-mail website@maglula.com and tell us what you would like us to do.

- You may use an authorised agent where the law allows. We may ask for proof of the agent’s authority.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why, unless the law does not allow us to. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
You can also contact a data-protection authority, for example Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority or, if European, UK or Swiss law applies, the authority where you live or work.
